Even in the midst of this chaotic world of overwhelming negativity, there is still a pathway to the next level. VICI magazine promises to take you deep into the forest where the winds blow the fiercest. VICI magazine is for those who will step onto the field of life and take action to make a difference: to conquer."
Born to an Air Force family in Omaha, Nebraska in July 1959, Brian grew up to face and conquer many difficulties, even being labeled a "slow learner". Persistence and an unstoppable spirit propelled Brian through his early struggles and on to academic and athletic awards through high school and college. He was heavily recruited by Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth and Princeton and, with over 350 scholarship offers, he chose Stanford. "I blinked and it was 1977 and I was sitting in an 8 AM class studying Strategic Economics at Stanford." says Brian.
Brian helped to establish the Challenger Center for Space Education - a living educational memorial to the ill-fated crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger. His community activism embraces the homeless and inner city youth, and he vigorously supports the Special Olympics. Brian maintains a seat on Stanford's Athletic Board and also shares his energy with D.A.R.E. and United Way.
Brian, his wife Tammy and their eight children live on the 200-acre country farm in Stephentown, New York.
