Cory Kahaney
Cory Kahaney doesn't write her own act anymore, but thanks to her precocious teenage daughter and her irritating relatives she never lacks material. Cory may be best known as one of the "final five" on this summers surprise hit "Last Comic Standing" (NBC). Other TV credits include "Last Call with Carson Daly" (NBC), multiple appearances on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," Joy's comedy corner on "The View" (ABC), "Politically Incorrect" (ABC), as well as Comedy Centrals' "USO Tour" & "Premium Blend."
Cory was featured in this years "Just For Laughs" festival in Montreal. In 1999, her one-person show "Having it all and other Myths" premiered at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. The show was later produced as a half-hour special for HBO, which lead to development deals with Warner Bros and CBS. Cory returned again in 2000 to the US Comedy Arts Festival as a featured stand-up. She is also active in the "NYC Friars Club." Cory came to comedy after an extensive career in food, or more accurately, NYU acting school, which qualified her for nothing else. She started out as a waitress, then a chef, and ended up a catering manager. Cory went on to earn an advanced culinary degree from La Varenne in Paris and worked in some of Manhattan's best hotels.
You can always catch Cory on stage in New York City at Caroline's, The Comic Strip, Stand Up New York and The Gotham Comedy Club.
