Roxci Rhodes, (yes, her real name), was born in California's Silicon Valley. She earned a Bachelors degree in Business from St. Mary's College and owns a successful consulting business. Roxci earned over $100,000 in her first year of tournament poker and in 2004 was among the top ten female players on "Card Player" magazine's "Player of the Year" standings. She has been featured in several newspaper and magazine articles and on several televised poker events including the "Plaza Ultimate Poker Challenge" and GSN's "Celebrities vs. Poker Pros." She operates a poker school and founded PMS Poker, a women's poker association. In 2005 Roxci was appointed to the Gaming Policy Advisory Committee of California's Gambling Control Commission. Roxci sits on the Board of Directors of the International Poker Association and is a prolific writer on business and poker.

Roxci entered a Reno, Nevada casino for the first time in her early twenties. She was immediately drawn to the bright lights, the crowds and the games. Roxci played competitive black jack for several years and during a, "Women's Only Weekend" promotion at a local casino, she learned to play Texas Hold'em and 7 Card Stud. She was a natural at No-Limit Hold'em and won her first tournament the very next day.

As one of the youngest in a very large family, competition was a matter of survival. Her father was career navy. From him, she gained focus, mental toughness, and the ability to display her accomplishments proudly. As Roxci says, "It's not bragging if it's true." She describes her mother as "the best of June Cleaver and Mae West". From her, Roxci gained her softer nurturing side and sassy and flirty sides as well. She was very athletic as a child and held several county and state records for track events, including high jump, long jump and sprint. She learned to take care of her health, body and mind. Health and fitness remains a strong undercurrent in her life.

With her signature designer sunglasses, dazzling smile and effervescent personality, she is easy to pick out in any crowd.

This program llustrates the parallels between poker and the business environment within the context of a poker lesson. She introduces poker fundamentals such as position, strategic betting, bluffing and reading one's competition. Programs are tailored to the specific needs of each client.
