Peter Morgan Kash is a successful biomedical venture capitalist who has
capitalized himself on what he calls the web of life to bring him incredible
business success as well as personal joy and fulfillment. He currently serves
as co-founder and Chairman of Two River Group Holdings, LLC.
Peter is an internationally acclaimed inspirational lecturer having done over
100 presentations in more than thirty-five countries including, Australia,
Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Russia, Israel, Abu Dhabi and Egypt. In his
inspiring, educational, and uniquely personable presentations, Peter focuses on
the future of medicine and the impact of biotechnology on all of our lives.
Among his professional achievements, Peter has co-raised nearly $600 million in
private equity financings for more than 20 biopharmaceutical companies. Peter
is a co-founder and former Vice Chairman of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc.,
which specializes in diabetes and cancer therapies. He has also served on the
board of directors of several privately held and publicly traded biotechnology
companies and currently serves as Vice Chairman of Javelin Pharmaceuticals,
Inc., which specializes in breakthrough pain medications and Tigris
Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which focuses on cervical cancer.
Peter also lectures on "Succeeding Through Failure." His first book, Make Your
Own Luck, published on November 16, 2001 has been hailed as a "must read for
anyone who wants to be successful in life." In the book, Peter draws on his
own stories of serendipitous opportunities, as well as unexplainable
coincidences and chance encounters that opened new doors to others. In his
original view on what makes for business success, Peter illustrates how to
recognize and seize the moments that turn dreams of great fortune into
reality. To date Make Your Own Luck, has been published worldwide and is
translated into six different languages.
Peter is currently co-authoring his second book entitled The End of Disease
which is about biotechnology and the miracles it has produced and continues to
produce. This book is scheduled to be published in 2007.
Peter has served as a Professor of Entrepreneurship for over sixteen years
including four years at the Wharton School of Business at the University of
Pennsylvania from 1996-2000. Currently, he serves as a Visiting Professor of
Entrepreneurship at the Graduate School of Business at Nihon University in
Tokyo.
Peter has been a member of YPO since 2000 and keeps himself busy spending time
with his wife, Donna, and his four children. He also serves on the Board of
Keren-Or, a charity for blind and multi-handicapped children, as well as Kids
Kicking Cancer, a charity for terminally ill children. In his spare time,
Peter is currently completing his Doctorate in Education and has taken
post-graduate classes on making Board's of Directors more effective at Harvard
Business School.
