Andrea Duran
As a member of the 2008 Olympic Silver Medal winning Softball team, Andrea displayed her usual flare on the diamond both at the bat and at Third Base. Andrea is no rookie when it comes to international competitions having competed with the US National Team at World Championships, Pan American Championships and the World Cup.
As a member of the 2008 Olympic Silver Medal winning Softball team, Andrea displayed her usual flare on the diamond both at the bat and at Third Base. Playing in all but 1 game for the US squad, Andrea racked up a .300 average with 6 hits, 5 RBI and 5 walks without committing an error in the field.
Andrea is no rookie when it comes to international competitions having competed with the US National Team at World Championships, Pan American Championships and the World Cup. In 2007, Andrea led the US Team to a Gold Medal with the 2nd highest batting average on the team (.500) and hitting her first career Grand Slam as a member of the National Team. She was also a member a member of the 2003 US Junior National Team which won a Silver Medal at World Championships.
Beginning her career at UCLA, Andrea's skills immediately helped propel the Bruins to back-to-back championships in 2003 and 2004. Her senior year, Andrea was named to the 2006 All-Women's College World Series Team and named the 2006 Pac-10 Player of the Year. Not focusing on solely her Softball career, Andrea consistently won All-Academic honors while at UCLA.
