At 19, award winning Juilliard violin virtuoso, recording artist, composer, and celebrated speaker, Yale University junior Jourdan Urbach has received international acclaim for his musical artistry and philanthropic endeavors as founder and director of two international philanthropic organizations: International Coalition of College Philanthropists and Children Helping Children/Concerts for a Cure. Concerts for a Cure has changed the way the international medical community fundraises. Through Concerts for a Cure held at esteemed venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and great halls across the country, Jourdan has raised $4.8 million to fight children's neurological disease, create innovative hospital music therapy programs, and fund research in pediatric Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis. CHC has funded 12 life-saving neuro-surgeries for disenfranchised children from around the world; provided 1,000 cochlear implants to indigent children who couldn't hear; funded pediatric clinics in Ghana and Togo, raised the media profile of dozens of neurologically-focused medical organizations through national television, radio and newspaper interviews, and funds the largest music therapy program in America at the University of Michigan's Mott Children's Hospital, serving 5,000 inpatients per year.

Compared by NY critics to a 'Young Paganini,' Jourdan's concert career has included four sold-out performances at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, and musical collaborations with Multi-Platinum Country Music Star Clay Walker and Emmy-nominated composer Chris Caswell. Jourdan was featured on Steve Martin's Grammy Winning Blue Grass album, The Crow and is the prestigious '2009 Artist Ascending Winner' (past winners being: Itzhak Perlman & Gil Shaham). His original film scores have been screened at the Tribeca and Cannes Film Festivals.

A thrilling speaker, Jourdan's use of music as the new global diplomat in conflict resolution has earned him the position of Goodwill Ambassador and Artist-in-Residence for the UN Council of Arts for Peace. His highly innovative and clever talks (which always include a violin performance component) engage and inspire audiences towards peak performance in their fields'bringing value to the corporate world, to leaders in international social entrepreneurship & conflict resolution, and to college and high school groups. Jourdan is the 2010 recipient of the World of Children Nobel Prize for Global Child Advocacy.
