Finishing his career as a fullback for the Dallas Cowboys, Daryl Johnston, known as "The Moose", caught 294 passes for 2,227 yards with 14 touchdowns. Now as FOX Sports play-by-play analysis, Daryl can be seen and heard during FOX NFL games. Daryl has contributed time to many charities including the Special Olympics, Children's Cancer Fund, Cystic Fibrosis and Literacy Instruction for Texas and received a nomination for the prestigious "Whizzer White Humanitarian Award."

Showing the dedication and work ethic that made him an NFL star, former Dallas Cowboy all pro fullback Daryl Johnston is now a successful sportscaster for FOX Sports. He is currently a member of FOX Sports' No. 2 broadcast team along with NFL play-by-play man Kenny Albert.

Johnston began his broadcasting career in 2000 during FOX's coverage of the 2000 NFL Europe League. After one year as a game analyst for the NFL on CBS, Johnston was asked to join FOX's NFL broadcast team. His other broadcasting credits include co-hosting Inside the Huddle with Craig James on KDFW-TV, The Daryl Johnston Show on KXAS-TV, as well as the The Moose Call, a weekly radio show on KRLD/KLIF in Dallas.

Nicknamed "Moose" by former teammate Babe Laufenberg, Johnston was a key member of the Cowboys' three Championship teams of the mid-90s. A Pro Bowl selection in both 1993 and 1994, Johnston was the first Pro Bowl Fullback. He demonstrated remarkable durability and toughness in a league where injuries are almost inevitable, playing in 149 consecutive games.

Johnston has contributed time to many charities including the Special Olympics, Children's Cancer Fund, Cystic Fibrosis and Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT). He has served as honorary chairman for the American Cancer Society's Gunslingers' Ball as well as MDA's "Aisles of Smiles" campaign, an organization he has served for over ten years. Additionally, Johnston is the chairman of "Slant 45", one of the largest community-wide service-learning programs for children in U.S. history and the largest in NFL history.

Daryl, along with his wife Diane, currently resides in Dallas, TX with their two children.
