Biography:

Walter Bond knows first hand how setting goals can help you achieve greatness throughout life. It started at an early age, with a dream to one day play in the NBA. Walter was born in Chicago, IL, where he began to dream about playing against such greats as Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson in his very own backyard. Walter's hard work, athletic abilities and determination did not go unnoticed. He was recognized as an All-State basketball player his senior year and received a scholarship to the University of Minnesota.

While at the University of Minnesota, Walter helped transform his college team with his will to win. By the beginning of his senior year, Walter was known as the top sixth man in the NCAA. Unfortunately, his college career came to a dramatic end as he suffered a broken foot twice during his senior year. This left him undrafted and unnoticed by any scouts or teams on the professional level. But Walter could not give up now.

He spent the next season in the CBA, which is the developmental league for the NBA. He finished that year stronger, quicker and more determined than ever. He made the all-rookie team and found himself invited to a number of free-agent camps that summer. While playing for the Wichita Falls Texans, he was noticed by the son of Richie Adubato, then coach of the Dallas Mavericks. That fall, Walter Bond became the first ever rookie free agent to start opening night. Walter went on to have an eight year professional basketball career, which included playing for the Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons.

Towards the end of his career, Walter became the owner of a national franchise which helped him get his feet wet in the business world. This is where Walter learned that the same attitude needed to dominate the world of athletics can be applied in the business environment.

Now, through Walter Bond Seminars, Walter is sharing his life long lessons of success and failure with organizations throughout America. Walter deals with issues such as dominating your market, increasing your vision, work life balance and planning. He promotes his Seven Laws of Achieving Greatness, which include:

Establishing a super-size vision.

Becoming a predator not a prey.

Building a positive attitude.

Setting attainable goals.

Developing discipline.

Managing your time.

Applying the law of giving.

Walter is speaking to the hearts of audiences everywhere. Walter Bond is an entertaining presenter who takes his audiences on a journey filled with personal stories and anecdotes. Each keynote is tailor-made to connect with his audience, their industry and, ultimately, their lives.

Walter is married and lives in suburban Minneapolis with his wife and three children.
