Biography:

Todd Siler is the creator of Metaphorming, which is a set of tools for realizing human potential. It helps people think, create and perform at their highest level to achieve their goals. Metaphorming was invented by Siler, resulting from two decades of research and testing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the application of that research to corporations, schools, individuals and families.

Todd Siler is a visual artist, author, inventor, presenter, educator and consultant, who is the founder and director of Psi-Phi Communications, LLC, and the Think Like a Genius Program (formerly the ArtScience Program) for Education. He received his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Psychology and Art from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986. He was the first visual artist to receive a doctorate from the Institute. He is currently a member of the advisory board for the Council on Art, Science and Technology at M.I.T. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Foundation for Human Potential in Chicago.

Todd Siler has published many articles and books on his work, including his Think Like A Genius (1997). His book, Breaking the Mind Barrier, was nominated for the 1994 University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award in Education as "a work of outstanding educational achievement with potential for worldwide impact". Both books have been translated into several languages. Siler's cartoon "Truizms" and column "Everyday Genius", appeared weekly in the Rocky Mountain News for several years.

Todd Siler has consulted and presented extensively throughout the world on creativity, innovation and education. He has consulted for such organizations as IBM, Compaq, USWEST, Chevron, Chase Manhattan, Campbell Soup, Home Depot, Nabisco, M.I.T., Blue Cross Blue Shield, Procter & Gamble, Verio, Raindance and Young Presidents' Organization. His ArtScience Program for Education trains teachers to use Metaphorming in their classrooms to help students restore their natural creativity and learn their curricular material with greater comprehension and retention. The Program has trained over 165 teachers and reached over 15,000 students in the Denver metro area alone.

Todd Siler is a Fellow of The World Economic Forum. He is also a recipient of an I.B.M. Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to Paris, France (1975-76), a Fulbright Fellowship to India (1985-86), and a Meitec Fellowship (1989-91), awarded by the Meitec Corporation in Tokyo. He received the 1995 "Artist-of-the-Year" Award from the New York City Teachers Association and United Federation of Teachers. In addition, he holds a number of patents on a wide range of inventions.

Todd Siler has been exhibiting his artworks internationally in major museums and galleries for the past fifteen years and is represented by Ronald Feldman Fine Arts in New York City. His artworks are in numerous private and public collections, including The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (20th Century Collection), The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, The Israel Museum in Jerusalem, The Pushkin Fine Arts Museum in Moscow and the Belsar Verlag Print Archives in Stuttgart and Zurich. His solo exhibition at the Ronald Feldman Gallery in New York City during the fall of 1997, featured an original musical composition and performance by the pioneering jazz musician, Ornette Coleman.
