MIKE MICKLEWRIGHT is a dynamic speaker, actor, comedian, motivationist,
creatician, business and quality consultant, and trainer based in the
Chicagoland area. Mike provides a unique look into the application of business
and quality theories into our everyday lives. Mike had written, acted in,
produced, and sells his own line of training videos, including the newly
released "BATCHIN"! How Something So Wrong Can Seem So Right".
Mike also performs stand-up comedy routine called, "Shitsu Kigeki, If It's
Japanese, It's Got to be Good!", a routine that pokes fun of quality, Lean, Six
Sigma, Consultants, Auditors, Leadership, and ISO 9001in the areas of business
and quality.
Most recently, Mike has started to perform a Dr. Deming impersonation and a Dr.
Deming tele-evangelist.
Not afraid if saying it like it is, Mike also writes what is usually a
controversial column for QualityInsider, an on-line magazine published by
Quality Digest, in which he is known as The Whys Guy.
He was voted as one of the Best Speakers at the 2006 International Conference
on ISO 9001.
Mike specializes ISO 9001, Lean, Leadership, Deming, and Six Sigma. Mike is an
ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, and
Quality Manager.
Mike holds an Engineering degree from the University of Illinois. Upon
graduation, Mike worked for the Saturn Corporation of General Motors and
SeaquistPerfect Dispensing, before becoming an independent consultant in 1994.
