She graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Broadcast Journalism in May 2007. After graduating from St. Michaels University School in Victoria B.C., she moved to San Luis Obispo and attended Cuesta College where she studied Graphic Communications. <br><br>Life led Laura to the East Coast where she worked for two years at a ski resort and then moved onto the fashion industry as a buyer and merchandiser for four years.
