Dave Dravecky
In 1988 at the height of his pitching career Dave Dravecky discovered he had cancer on the deltoid muscle in his pitching arm. Defying all odds Dave returned to baseball however after only 5 games his pitching arm split in two. Dave recorded this time in his book Comeback. After more radiation and complications Dave's arm had to be amputated. His book The Worth of a Man documents the struggles he faced then and the inspiration he finds now.

Hank Aaron
Nicknamed "Hammer", Hank Aaron is a retired MLB player whose career with the Indianapolis Clowns and Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves led him to set numerous records. Aaron's most notable achievement was setting the MLB record for most career home runs with 755 which he held until August 2007. Today Aaron is vice president and board member of Turner Broadcasting and is active with various community organizations.

Jim Abbott
Born without a right hand, Jim Abbott beat the odds and became a successful pitcher in baseball major leagues. He played for 10 seasons and was also a member of Team USA where he became the first American pitcher in 25 years to beat a Cuban team on Cuban soil. Jim also participated in the 1988 Summer Olympic Games where he lead the team to a Gold Medal over Japan. Today Jim is a pitching instructor for the Los Angeles Angels and a motivational speaker.
