    Known for defeating Bobby Riggs in the Battle of the Sexes in 1973, Billie Jean King has championed for social change and equality for women in sports. Billie Jean founded the Women's Tennis Association, Women's Sports Foundation and Women's Sports Magazine. She was ranked no. 5 on Sport's Illustrated "Top 40 Athletes" list for significantly altering or evelating sports in the last four decades.

    Former World No. 1 women's professional tennis player, Tracy Austin won the women's singles title at the US Open in 1979 and 1981 and the mixed doubles at Wimbledon in 1980, making her the youngest person to become #1 in the world. Injuries brought Tracy's tennis career to an end but she immediately found a fit for broadcasting and tennis analyst.
